The Gulf of Trieste hosted 68 crews at the recently concluded Melges24 World Championship organized by Yacht Club Adriaco. RAZJARENI Ante Česić, Lukasz Podniesinski, Tonči Knezović, Ljubo Jerčić and Anđela de Micheli Vitturi once again demonstrated their quality and ultimately took an excellent 5th place in the overall standings and were the best placed Croatian crew out of a total of 8 crews that participated in the championship. RAZJARENI was two points away from a medal.
During the five days of sailing, the sea conditions were challenging and each day offered different conditions. Sailing was carried out in strong bora, mistral, southerly winds, and one day the lack of wind left the fleet stranded at the end. RAZJARENI lacked a little luck and missed out on the silver medal by 2 points, and interestingly, in 7 races they were the only crew that crossed the finish line twice first. Knowing the RAZJARENI team, we know that they will come back even stronger and more determined in the next season.
