Last weekend, our sailors participated in the traditional St. Nicholas Regatta, organized by the Vega Sailing Club in Pula. The regatta gathered a large number of competitors in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7 classes, and our athletes achieved remarkable results.
In the ILCA 7 class, a total of 12 sailors competed. Our Lovre Bakotić achieved a fantastic success by securing 1st place overall. His brother, Jere Bakotić, finished in 10th place.
In the ILCA 6 class, due to unfavorable weather conditions, only one race was held. Among our sailors, Toma Šimrčić stood out, securing 8th place, followed by Roko Tomšić in 12th place. Toma Grubišić finished in 28th place, while Šime Bosna Rušković took 33rd place.
Although our sailors Tereza Buličić, Lorenzo Bertolino, and Marta Tudor were registered for the ILCA 4 class, unfortunately, their class was unable to complete any races. However, their presence and sportsmanship, despite challenging circumstances, deserve every commendation.
All regatta results are available at the official link: Regatta Results.
Congratulations to all our sailors for their effort and dedication, and a special bravo to Lovre Bakotić for his first-place victory!
